In Which I Tell You Allllll About Mine Self : Part 2

Happy Sunday all!! Here we go guys. Part Two...

Rachel asks...

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Well for a long time Mint Chip was my favorite, but lately I've really been liking Cherry Garcia. Ice cream in general is just good!!

Do you have a pet? And yes, which one?
Ok here comes a long list... two horses, two dogs, four cats, five goats, twenty-three chickens,  one rooster, and two ducks. Pheeew, sorry guys, Farm Girl here :)

What is your current favorite book right now?
Candle in the Darkness by Lynn Austin

If you won a trip to a country, where would you love to go?
Well I've always really wanted to go to Ireland, Scotland, Italy and England so any of those would be great!!

What is your favorite movie?
Right now my favorite is The Hundred-Foot Journey. MARGUERITE'S WARDROBE. I. MUST. HAVE. IT.

What's your favorite color?
Probably blue, but purple and pink run a close second.

Do you wear make-up?
I don't wear make-up on a regular basis but I will wear it for special occasions, and occasionally I will wear tinted chap stick. Usually make-up just bugs me because I feel like I always have to be really careful not to rub my eyes, or smile to big cause I'll smear something ;)

Are there hanging any dresses or skirts in your closet?
Oh my, tons!! Not so many skirts as dresses (cause I'm a little obsessed with dresses) but still plenty of both!

Mr Knightley (Emma 2009) or Matthew Crawley (Downton Abbey)?
MR. KNIGHTLEY FOREVER AND ALWAYS, AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! actually I haven't seen Downton Abbey, but even if I did I'm sure it would still be Mr. Knightley. Sorry Matthew fans (Actually I'm not sorry at all cause Mr. Knightley!!)

What is your favorite flower?
Uh oh this one again... I'll just go with Dahlias though I don't think that's my absolute favorite.

Would you rather be a princess of a just a random girl?
Just a random girl. Unless by being a princess I could get a closet like Mia's from Princess Diaries 2...

Cause who wouldn't want a closet this size!!

Who's your favorite actress?
Well here's another actress that I really like...

Lily James

Cordy Asks...

You're wandering a forest and you come to a fork in the road, do you go right or left?
I think I would probably go right, because you know it just sounds right! But if I was feeling especially adventurous, I would probably go left.

What's your dream career?
My dream career is to be a stay-at-home-mom/author/illustrator. I want to have a studio behind my house where I can go to write and illustrate my novels.

Would you rather be able to travel to the past or into the future?
Oh the past definitely. THAT WOULD BE SO AMAZING

What does your dream date look like? (And I'm not really referring to the gentleman...haha.)
Ooohh boy, I've been waiting for this one!!! Well I've always thought that it would be really sweet to just do something really fun and simple. Like go get ice cream together, or take a picnic and sit and watch the sunset, stuff like that. After that we would go dancing (cause this guy will know how to dance). Or we will go do something delicously naughty like setting all the watch alarms in Walmart to the same time so that we can listen to them all go off and watch everybody panic :P.

Hoping for this kind of adorable relationship

And as for the gentleman (cause c'mon I have to say something on his behalf) he must be tall and dark with an alabaster brow... actually he should be tall with dark hair, but I don't know about the alabaster brow. And he must know how to dance.

A song you can't get out of your head at the moment?
*turns about five different shades of red*

uuuummmmmmmm....

Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon

 *runs away to hide*

Anna asks..

Why is this last post Mr. Magorium themed?
Haha this last post was Mr. Magorium themed because it is such a sweet movie and I was just going to use one picture from it, but then changed my mind and decided to do the entire post Mr. Magorium themed!

My sis and I are cracking up over this gif

Have you seen "The Princess Bride"?
Yes I have! But it was years and years ago so I don't remember to much. I should re-watch it!

If you have, then what are a few of your favorite lines?
Well you gotta love " My name is Inigo Montoyo, you killed my father, prepare to die!"
also the entire conversation between Inigo and Miracle Max is hilarious...
"But this is Buttercup's true love - If you heal him, he will stop Humperdinck's wedding!"
"Wait, wait. I make him better, Humperdinck suffers?"
 "Humiliations galore!"
"That is a noble cause. Give me the sixty-five, I'm on the job."

Who are some of your current favorite music artists/favorite songs?
Lately I've been liking Ed Sherran's Perfect and Hearts Don't Break Around Here, Owl City's Waving Through a Window and Fireflies, Aldrine Gurrero's CMJ and Ice Cream, and always period drama soundtracks.

Amaris asks...

If you could go back in time and meet any historical person, who would it be and what would you ask/say to them?
Oh I would want to meet Abigail Adams because she is someone I really admire. I would probably ask her questions about being right in the mix of the Revolutionary War, was it hard being apart from John all the time, and how active was she in helping him with legal matters and advice.

Do you prefer individual books, or series (such as trilogies)?
Both are good. Some books I am perfectly happy with one and don't feel like there is a need for them to keep going, but there are some books where I must know more, and in that case I like series.

Do you have a favorite Bible character?
Probably Esther or Ruth. They are two women whose example I would like to follow.

Do you read Jane Austen? If so, what is your favorite book of hers?
Yes I do!! So far I've only read Pride and Prejudice, and I am half way through Emma, and I really like both of them so far!!

Rae asks...

What made you decide to start your blog?
Well a little more than year ago I discovered Amy's blog and I was really enjoying it, which led to the discovery of many other period drama blogs and eventually I said, "This is what I want to do!" Also I wanted a way to get my writing out in the world a little bit more, so I started my blog!!

Why is this post Mr. Magorium themed?
You can see my answer for this one above in Anna's questions :)

Have you seen North and South? Or read it?
Yes I have! I've seen it and I began reading it while working at a bookstore with a friend, but I didn't own it so when the job was over I didn't get to finish it, but I still want to! Both a kind of funeral-happy, but they're still good!

What is your favourite couple in Emma?

Definitely Emma and Mr. Knightly. But I like Harriet and Robert Martin too!

Do you prefer chocolate or other kinds of candy?
CHOCOLATE FOREVER AND EVER AMEN!!!

What L. M. Montgomery have you read?
I have read the entire Anne series, the entire Emily series, The Story Girl, The Golden Road, Chronicles of Avonlea, Further Chronicles of Avonlea, and I am half way through The Blue Castle. L. M. Montgomery is AMAZING!!!

So that's all the questions! I hope you guys enjoyed reading :) Btw, I changed my blog look again! What say you?

Talk to you all later!!

In Which I Tell You Alllllllll About Mine Self; Part 1

Hiiiiiiii!!! *waves frantically*

Sooo I'm finally here to do my post that answers all your questions!! I was so pleased with how many I you all asked, and you were all plenty creative which is just lovely!! Now for some of Miss Woodhouse's mysteriousness to be put aside!

Elanor asks...

What's a hobby you've picked up recently?
Hmm... Well I haven't picked up any hobbies really recently, but about a year ago I started swing dancing with my church group and I'm absolutely loving it!!  Does that count?

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was Candle in the Darkness by Lynn Austin. oh. my. goodness. THIS BOOK WAS SO SO AMAZING!!!! There are no words to describe how much I loved this book. Just the plot, the characters, the descriptions, just GAHHHHH!!! There will be a review coming soon!! I am currently reading the second book in the series, Fire by Night, and am enjoying it just as much :D!

Favorite place to visit?
Umm... the ocean maybe? I like to visit lot's of places...

Biggest surprise of your life?
Oohh oohh oohh!! *Raises hand and waves it in air*

So for my tenth birthday my parents told me we were going on a surprise trip, and they gave me a few hints, two of which were "There is a snow covered mountain, and there are also Eskimos and penguins." Of course my little nine year old brain began to formulate a trip to Alaska or Antarctica, or maybe even the North Pole!! Turns out, we went to Disney Land! (the Matterhorn guys, that was the snow covered mountain. And the Eskimos and penguins are hiding within the depths of The Small World.)

What's your guilty pleasure dessert?
Well, I LOVE ice cream, but I kind of eat that as much as possible without bothering to feel guilty about it so I don't think that counts :P. Maybe brownies? I can start to feel guilty if I eat to many of those (and no peoples, I am not an eat-'round-the-clock-gluttonous-pig as I make myself out to be, I only eat these things about once a day, just so ya know... Is that chocolate?...)

MovieCritic asks...

What is your favorite book?
Well I REALLY REALLY LOVE the Anne of Green Gables series. It's just a happy, warm fuzzies type of series, and everybody loves to read those. But I don't know if those are my absolute favorites (not to mention that that's eight books, not one). If we are talking about stand alone books, I've always enjoyed Island of The Blue Dolphins, Witch of Blackbird Pond, and I just recently finished reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time, and that's definitely going on my favorites list. GUYS, THERE ARE JUST SO MANY AMAZING BOOKS OUT THERE, I CAN'T CHOOSE JUST ONE!!!!!

Ya know what I mean?

What is your favorite movie? (Okay, I don't know why I'm asking this, I already know the answer.) Scratch that, what is you favorite non Jane Austen movie? (Do I know this answer? Does it have something to do with this last post?)
Haha no MovieCritic, my favorite movie is not Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, even though I do love that movie. Sink me, again there are too many great movies out there for me to choose just one, so here's a few of my favorites...

The Scarlet Pimpernel (1982)
~ The Man From Snowy River (1982)
~ Letter's to Juliet (2008)
~ Little Dorrit (2008)
~ Anne of Green Gables

Who is you favorite (non Jane Austen) hero (book or movie)?
I'd have to say probably Jim Craig from The Man From Snowy River. Jim is awesome guys. <3 <3 <3 He's knock-'em-dead handsome, a wonderful, caring, super sweet, adorable person. If you have not seen the movie and have no idea who I am talking about, then go watch it now, I command you!!

Yeah guys, that's him. Now go! Go watch it!
What is your favorite Disney movie?
Well I've always had a soft spot for The Apple Dumplin' gang. That movie is just sweet, absolutely hilarious, family appropriate, has some amazing actors (YAY FOR DON KNOTTS!!!!!!) and is so much fun!! I would totally recommend that movie for anyone who likes light hearted, family comedies.

Who is your favorite actor?
Oh dear.... um.... ummmmm.....

My discombobulated thought process
I guess I don't have a particular favorite, but I do like J.J. Fields, Michael Mahonen, Jonathan Crombie, and Johnny Lee Miller (Are you starting to see a pattern? I do believe some time or other all of these men were in period dramas, my one weakness ;))

Who is your favorite actress?
(You have to have seen them in more than one movie)
Oh man I love so many!!! I'm going to go with...

Clair Foy

and Debbie Reynolds

Ruth Asks...

Are you more of an introvert or an extrovert?
Definitely an introvert, at least around people I don't know. My friends would tell you a different story XD.

Do you like to decorate your room with flowers and photos and paintings and drawings and posters, or would you prefer a clean wall and desk, with just the needed things on it(paper, pencils, pens)?
Well when I was younger I used to hang a few posters around my room, and ever since I was five my room has had flowers painted on the wall and a purple carpet, so earlier this year we re-did it in a much "older girl" style, and now we don't have anything on the walls except for a few pictures and the needed few things on the desk :P. And of course you always need a vase of flowers somewhere :)

What is your favorite flower?
Umm... I like Roses, Tulips, Zinnias, Chrysanthemums, Dahlias.... THERE'S TOOOOOO MANY!!! DON'T DO THIS TOO MEEEE!

What is your favorite series?
Most definitely Road to Avonlea. Just the music, the characters, GAAAHHH IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!! If you haven't seen it, you need to!!

What do you prefer: mystery-books or novels?
Novels. But I don't mind if a little bit of mystery is mixed into the novel. That's always exciting!

Are you a planner or a do-things-whenever-you-want-person?

I want to say both, but the truth actually is that I will always say to myself, "Self! You are going to plan ahead on this whole venture so that when the time comes nothing could possibly ever take you by surprise, and you will be the most well equipped, planned-ahead person that you know. You will be unstoppable!!" *shoots off confetti canon*
Reality: I procrastinate my planning till the last possible second, then I panic and try to do all my planning in what little time I have left and fail epicly, resulting in the decision to just roll with the punches and to make sure to plan ahead next time. Cause I mean really, once I'v done something that didn't work, I won't do it again... right?

Do you write or draw (if not, which would you like to do better)?
I draw and write actually! I think if I had to choose though, I would like to be able to write better. I'm not always happy with my writing skills.

Brittany B. asks...

If you can be in a movie, what would it be and why?
Well does it have to be a movie that's already been made, or one that I would like to see made? I'll just give an answer for both scenarios. If it was a movie that had already been made I think that it would be totally amazing to act in Emma (2009) (shocking, I know).  I absolutely love history and to act in a period drama would be a.ma.zing. Just the costumes and the old houses, and THE DANCING!! Yesh, yesh, Emma it is.
As for something that I would like to see made, my sister and I are writing are novel together that we are both bound and determined to see made into a movie.  I know it will never happen, butohmygoodnessitwouldbeamazing!!!!

This is sorta what it's supposed to look like. It's a fantasy!

What character would you play in said movie?
In the first I would definitely want to be Emma. In the second I would be Clea Ashton (one of the main characters).

What type of books do you love to read?
Mainly historical fiction. And sometimes (I don't know what you would call them) survivalish... books, like My Side of the Mountain, and Island of the Blue Dolphins.

Favorite TV Shows?
Well let's see...
~The Andy Griffeth Show
~Road to Avonlea
~Larkrise to Candleford
And lot's of others but those are my absolute favorites :)

Who doesn't love Barney Fife!!

That's it for now!! I'll answer everyone else's questions in my Part Two post! Hope you all enjoyed learning a little bit about me!

Top Five Favorite Period Drama Gossips; #4 Mrs. Jennings

I am sure we would all have to agree, Mrs. Jennings is just SO MUCH FUN!! Her facial expressions (see the picture above), her loud boisterousness, her love for matchmaking (and meddling) and the way she talks and talks without stopping for breath are all part of what make her a memorable character.

Mrs. Jennings is a widowed older woman who has married off all her children and lives with her son-in-law and his family. She and Sir John enjoy teasing Elinor and Marianne about any obvious love interests, and she regularly visits her married daughters and takes a general interest in their affairs.

Jane Austen said " [Mrs. Jennings] was a very agreeable, cheerful woman."  And she is! Everybody enjoys watching her match make, interfere, and take interest in everyone else's affairs.

Linda Basset as Mrs. Jennings, Sense and Sensibility (2008)

And even though it doesn't always seem like it, Mrs. Jennings has a good dose of common sense. While Lady Middleton thinks that Fanny Dashwood is perfectly charming, Mrs. Jennings declares that " She appeared nothing more than a little, proud-looking woman of uncordial address." Also when her daughter Charlotte thinks her new baby is ill, Mrs. Jennings diagnoses the trouble as "nothing in the world but red-gum."

She also defends Edward when John Dashwood blames him for keeping his engagement to Lucy, declaring that Edward is an honest man and that Lucy is a good girl (*insert Lydia snort*) and deserves a worthy husband.

She is also extremely kind to Elinor and Marianne, inviting them to stay in London with her, continually ignoring Marianne's rudeness, and staying at Cleveland to help Elinor care for Marianne when she becomes sick. (She also shipped Marrianne and Colonel Brandon from the beginning which earns her extra bonus points in my book ;))

Mrs. Jennings Best Quotes

“It would be an excellent match, for he was rich, and she was handsome. . . . she was always anxious to get a good husband for every pretty girl.”

“I wish with all my soul his wife may plague his heart out!”

" Indeed! Is that Ferrars with an ?"

Mrs. Jennings response to one of Mr. Palmer's hilarious comments

That's about all for now! Sorry that it's been so long since I last posted, I'm going to try and be better about that... maybe... kinda... sort of. And I am in the process of working on a post answering your questions so hopefully that is coming soon, unless I am first attacked by the all consuming, time eating monster known as School *runs and hides*

Ta ta for now!
